The Wild Trout Sections of the Truckee and Little Truckee rivers are open year-round. For other waters, the General Trout season is the last Saturday in April until November 15th.

Fly fishing Tahoe Truckcee Area Venues
Four Seasons Fly Fishing operates under a special use permit from the U.S. Forest Service to fish the federal land in the Tahoe Truckee area. Each body of water is unique and has its own personality. There are several species of fish in our watersheds, both wild and hatchery. We mainly target Rainbow and Brown Trout. Depending on the venues there may be Brookies, Mountain Whitefish, and even some Smallmouth Bass.
