Fishing Report October 18, 2014

Klamath River****

For the month of October I am guiding #Steelhead trips on the Klamath River here in Northern California.  The flows have dropped out of Iron Gate Dam to 1000cfs and are good throughout the system. We had some rain last week that stained up the water down around Happy Camp do to the recent fires.  The water cleared in a day and didn’t affect the fishing much.  The metal heads are spread out through the river with some areas having more fish holding than others.  Swinging flies or nymphing will bring a fish to hand right now.  Pretty much lights out fishing!

I have a few days open at the end of the month for Steelhead if you would like to get out email or call and we can set something up.

If you are looking to fish the Truckee Are while I am chasing Steelhead call Jay Clark 530-414-1655.

See you on the water,
