Fly Fishing Wade Trips
Our fly fishing wade trips include flies and any additional gear needed. Nymphing and topwater techniques are used depending on conditions. Don’t forget your license. You will need a valid fishing license in your possession while fishing or attending a clinic. We will practice catch-and-release fly fishing. Extra anglers can be accommodated for $150 each up to four. Lunch can be included on Half-day trip for an additional fee.

Tenkara Fly Fishing
Tenkara Fly Fishing is a Japanese style of fly fishing that has been introduced here in the US. Rod, line, and fly no reel. Tenkara focuses on presentation of the fly and simplicity. Tenkara is ideally suited to some of our smaller streams in the Truckee/Tahoe area. I have had success on the Truckee and Little Truckee rivers as well. The Tenkara rods also adapt well to some European nymphing techniques. If you are hiker, backpacker, or biker this is the set-up for you. Simple, compact, and light. Stillwater Boat Fly Fishing
The stillwaters of the Truckee/Tahoe area can produce greater variety, greater numbers and BIGGER fish than the rivers. The fishing can be very active, it is not sitting there dunking worms with your grand dad. Nymphing, topwater and streamer techniques are used depending on conditions. We practice catch-and-release fly fishing.
On this trip we use my super comfy Sotar raft (think giant lazyboy) to access some of smaller stillwater's of the area. This is also a great way to keep fly fishing if you can no longer wade the rivers
